An award from the Cardiovascular Research Foundation of Southern California is given in conjunction with the American College of Cardiology, California Chapter to each of the 15 cardiac training programs in the state of California for the top Cardiology fellow in that program nominated by the program’s leadership. From these top cardiologists, one Cardiology Fellow for the entire state is chosen for Excellence in Cardiology Training. Centers honored over the last three years include UCLA, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and CA Pacific – USCF.

 An award that singles out the best Cardiac research in the US is presented at the Society of Cardiac Computed Tomography annual meeting attended by thousands of cardiologists from around the world.

 The Cardiovascular Research Foundation also plans to present an award to honor the best cardiac research in the country at the annual Heart Rhythm Society. This conference is attended by most electrophysiologists in the world.

 The Foundation provides travel and research stipends to investigators to support their attendance at scientific meetings to present their research.

 Mini grants are provided to assist investigators in their research programs.

 The Foundation also supports a Cardiology Fellow for a post-doctoral cardiology research position on our campus, in conjunction with Harbor UCLA, to train the next generation of dedicated cardiology scientists. The Fellow works closely with our researchers to support the diverse research trials and initiatives underway.

 The Foundation offers quarterly one-week intense advanced coronary CTA training courses that are among the longest-running programs of their kind. They attract physicians from throughout the world. Cardiology fellows receive grants to attend. Your $6000 donation will support one fellow for the course.
