Cardiac Amyloid Imaging

Cardiac Amyloid has been an unappreciated cause of heart failure. Recent advances now may offer better treatment and diagnosis. New office testing is now being done for precise diagnosis of the protein that replaces normal heart tissue and causes heart failure. The best testing for the disease is a nuclear imaging test that is normally only offered in the hospital setting. Now angiography images with arterial ultrasound, allowing for a concise, easily understood image of the artery.
